The Reach Out Committee would like to thank all of the Eagle’s Angels that participated in the Holiday Gift Card Drive. We were able to meet our goal and have a few cards leftover for any situations that may pop up where assistance for our families is needed. Thank you to the parents, students and staff who played a huge part in making this all happen for us. We wish everyone a very happy holiday season!

Campus Clean-up This Saturday – Mar 19

Please join us for the Spring Campus Clean-Up this Saturday, March 19 from 9 am to 12 pm. Come when you can and stay as long as you can!

Jr. Beta Members can earn up to 3 hours for their effort!

We’ll spread pine straw, pick up trash and sticks, and perhaps even weed a bit! Bring gloves, shovels, rakes, wheelbarrows, clippers, and whatever else you think might be useful!

Pine Straw Fundraiser

HBMS PTA is proud to offer top quality “slash” type variety (6”-8” long needles) pine straw in hand-packed bales. The pine straw is delivered to a location of your choosing. Only $3.75 per bale (includes tax), plus fixed delivery charge of $10.00 (10 bale minimum). Please note that $0.50 per bale and $3.00 of the delivery charge are fully tax deductible as contributions to the HBMS PTA. See the flyer here.

Atlanta Gas Light is offering a special 2-month introductory rate of $0 Customer Service Fee and $0.399/therm for new customers. This is less than half of the regular rate!

Take advantage of this rate now, while temperatures are cold and your gas usage is high! While you are there, please sign up to be a True Blue Schools participant for Haynes Bridge MS. For each new customer, the school receives $40 and $5/month. For existing customers, the school receives $5/month. This is an easy way to give back to your school! Redistricting

Fulton County Schools is hosting three meetings at Alpharetta High School to gather community input into the redistricting process.

These meeting will begin at 7 pm and will be held on:

February 23
March 16
April 13

The reason for the redistricting is the construction of a new high school in the Milton area. This high school will open in August of 2012. During this redistricting effort, they will also look at schools with split feeder patterns (where a school feeds into 2 or more different schools). The school board members are recommending that people from all schools in North Fulton county attend all 3 of these meetings.
